[2] Gift:: a special talent or aptitude.
[3] gave the Earth:: we lost the current pleasure while alive.
[4] mortgaged Heaven:: we lived in advance in heaven as we died already.
[5] in worth:: the value of living in heaven.
[6] ignominy, now:: it's considered a disgrace to live in heaven now when we are alive.
