[1] Arrows:: God's test and Satan's strike on Job. "For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me." (Job 6:4)
[2] rankle there:: to cause a venomous wound in Job's heart.
[3] Venoms, Balms:: malicious acts against Job who took them as God's will.
[4] rankle there:: to cause pain on his body and family. Job's seven sons and three daughters died in the test. God gave him another seven sons and three daughters.
