The Way I read a Letter's this — Play Script

The Way I read a Letter's-this-1
'Tis first-I lock the Door-
And push it with my fingers-next-
For transport it be sure-

And then I go the furthest off 5
To counteract a knock-
Then draw my little Letter forth
And slowly pick the lock-

Then-glancing narrow, at the Wall-9
And narrow at the floor
For firm Conviction of a Mouse
Not exorcised before-

Peruse how infinite I am 13
To no one that You-know-
And sigh for lack of Heaven-but not
The Heaven God bestow-
