[1] Satisfaction:: the performance by a penitent of the penal and meritorious acts enjoined by his confessor as payment of the temporal punishment due to his sin (OED 2). Agent:: an active power to produce some effect.
[2] Satiety:: an excess of desire for an eternal life.
[3] Commissary:: an officer exercising spiritual or ecclesiastical jurisdiction as the representative of the bishop in parts of his diocese (OED 2).
[4] Infinity:: eternal life. "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:15)
[5] possess:: to affect strongly; to own the joy in next line. past the instant:: past from present moment of living to non-presence, death.
[6] achieve, Joy:: the joy to heaven as one's final goal.
[7] Immortality:: conditional immortality: the theological doctrine that human immortality is conditional upon faith in Christ (OED conditional 1).
[8] Anomaly:: irregularity, unevenness. To achieve conditional immortality is uneven.
