[2] Death:: climax, a feeling like death. Posterior:: after climax, the love-making is truly complete.
[3] Initial of Creation:: the beginning of birth.
[4] Exponent:: a symbol to show a quantity to be multiplied by itself (OED 2), indicating the world's population growth.
If it be true, that our race is advancing in civilization, knowledge, virtue and power, then the increase of the world's population will go on in an accelerated ratio. If men live more justly, temperately and virtuously, they will live longer, thrive better, and rear larger families.
