[2] Attar:: artificially like the attar.
[3] Suns:: glorious achievements.
[5] General Rose:: a plain, wonderful letter (is disappearing).
[6] this:: a piece of paper.
[8] Rosemary:: affectionate remembrance; "Rosemary, that's for Remembrance (Hamlet)."
