[1] be not caused:: the plant's name including beauty, not caused.
[2, 3] ceases, abides:: its beautiful hairy grass (round like a ball) disappeared when being touched over it.
[4] Creases:: the creases of the grass after chasing.
[7] Deity, see to:: the nature will take care of this plant.
[8] You never do it:: human's fingers cannot create the beauty of this hairy grass.

Meadow Beauty. Deer Grass. Stem square, one foot high, with winged or membranous angles, and scattering hairs. Leaves opposite, stemless, ovate-lance-formed, three-nerved, sprinkled with closely pressed hairs on both sides; the margin of the leaf being more or less notched, and having parallel hairs, like eye-lashes. Calyx urn-shaped, hairy, cleft into four sharp-pointed segments. Petals four, of a delightful, fresh, rosy purple, finely contrasted with very showy, long, curved, bright-yellow anthers.
