The Alphabet－the Words－
A Chapter－then the mighty Book－
Then－Revelation closed－
But in Each Other's eyes 5
An Ignorance beheld－
Diviner than the Childhood's－
And each to each, a Child－
Attempted to expound 9
What Neither－understood－
Alas, that Wisdom is so large－
And Truth－so manifold!

[12] Truth, manifold:: normally truth should be one; manifold truth means confusion.
