Frequently the wood are pink — Crucifixion Picture

Frequently the wood are pink-1
Frequently are brown.
Frequently the hills undress
Behind my native town.
Oft a head is crested 5
I was wont to see-
And as oft a cranny
Where it used to be-
And the Earth-they tell me-9
On its Axis turned!
Wonderful Rotation!
By but twelve performed!

[7] cranny:: a wound in Jesus' side. "But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water." (John 19:34)
