Before the breathless Bee-
So bubble brooks in deserts
On Ears that dying lie-
Burn so the Evening Spires 5
To Eyes that Closing go-
Hangs so distant Heaven-
To a hand below.

[2] breathless Bee:: a bee hurrying to escape a fire by some human.
[3] bubble, deserts:: the bobolink making a sound like brooks in deserts.
[4] Ears:: spikes or heads of cereals. lie:: the bubbling sounds cheat the withering plants.
[5] Evening:: late in life. Spires:: slender stalks or blades of plants.
[6] eyes:: buds or sprouts. Closing:: withering.
[7] distant:: cold, discrepant.
[8] a hand:: an earthly (below) human's hand that burns the meadow field.
