As if some little Arctic flower — Flower-Beetle

As if some little Arctic flower 1
Upon the polar hem-
Went wandering down the Latitudes
Until it puzzled came
To continents of summer-5
To firmaments of sun-
To strange, bright crowds of flowers-
And birds, of foreign tongue!
I say, As if this little flower 9
To Eden, wandered in-
What then? Why nothing,
Only, your inference therefrom!

[1] flower:: flower-beetle, flower-fly, or flower-bug. As if, Arctic:: it's not from Arctic, but acts like.
[4] puzzled:: the word beetle has an usage as someone being mentally blind.
[7, 8, 10] strange, foreign, wandered:: a mock at some ignorant people like beetle.
[12] inference:: what happens to the beetle, or the ignorant, readers can judge by themselves.
