[1] An Hour, a sea:: an hour's travel to a sea.
[2] a few:: a few harbor-seals.
[3] Harbor:: a shelter; a hint on harbor seal.

Along the New Brunswick coast this species, which is called there the harbor seal, is often seen in summer; the fur is very handsome, and is highly prized by the Micmac Indians; it is also common all along the New England shores, but is not pursued as a business. ─ The New American Cyclopaedia (1862)
