Dickinson would pause and edit her poems. She believed editing is a specific grace. This riddle is hinted by arrow and repair.

To make Routine a Stimulus ¹
Remember it can cease－
Capacity to Terminate
Is a Specific Grace－
Of Retrospect the Arrow ⁵
That power to repair
Departed with the Torment
Become, alas, more fair－
